Welcome!
The first few months of university can be quite daunting with a new city, new friends and a new course to get used to. At St Matthias we want to help and support you throughout your time as a student and beyond. Our Vicar Paul is also the Anglican Missioner at Plymouth University and is regularly in the Chaplaincy and at CU.
A first step might be to come to one of our services at 10.30am or 6.30pm. In October we are starting a student group on a Wednesday evening led by Paul to help us grow together and we hope to begin a monthly student service and meal on Sundays.
If you’ve never really thought about Christianity before, University is a great opportunity to do that. At St Matts we regularly run Christianity Explored and Alpha, click here for details on the next course, these give you a chance to ask your questions and get to grips with Jesus.
There are lots of opportunities to serve God through our church, whether taking an active role in the worship, helping in the various ministries we run, or just by becoming a regular member.
If you’d like us to know about you, or there is anything we can help you with, call or drop us an email. We're really looking forward to meeting you in person.
Plymouth is blessed with many faithful and lively churches which would love to welcome you, ours is a small family church seeking to serve and grow and you will find a very warm welcome awaiting you.
